Usyncro officially disembarks in Latin America after signing an alliance with ALACAT<\/strong>, Federation of National Associations of 15 countries of Freight Forwarders and International Logistics Operators of Latin America and the Caribbean, which will have among its objectives the promotion of Digital Corridors between Europe and Latin America<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The signing took place during the XXXVIII ALACAT Congress in Mexico in the presence of FIATA, the International Freight Forwarders Federation. At the meeting, which brought together 400 of the world’s leading logistics managers, Cristina Mart\u00edn Lorenzo, CEO of Usyncro, had the opportunity to share the start-up of the first Digital Air Corridor pilots from Europe.<\/p>\n

The Digital Corridors were created by Foro Madcargo, an association of air cargo professionals, with the aim of eliminating paper in the logistics management of freight transport. This initiative is having great institutional support due to the promotion of Madrid as a Global Logistics Node.<\/p>\n

THE ORIGIN: THE EUROPE-LATAM DIGITAL CORRIDORS<\/strong><\/p>\n

In May, the first pilot of the corridor<\/a> was carried out The project was carried out between Madrid and Montevideo, coordinating in digitalized form 12 actors, including the Tax Agency, Air Europa and the international operator DB Schenker, under the One Record standard of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), to share data and create a single record view of each shipment. This standard defines a common model for data to be securely shared.<\/p>\n

In this process, thanks to the meeting of actors on the Usyncro open platform, the use of Blockchain technology was also incorporated to validate the immutability of the shared data.<\/p>\n

The following pilots of digital corridors have been carried out this October with Mexico and Ecuador, being the Spanish company ASERCOMEX, the generator of the action that includes the office of digital transparency of the Community of Madrid, Air Europa and Avianca as airlines, Grupo Antolin or Italfarmaco among the actors involved in shipments to the continent from Burgos and Madrid, respectively.<\/p>\n

Digital corridors represent one of the great advances on the road to the sustainability of transport, by eliminating most of the paper linked to the shipment of goods and avoiding a large part of the physical trips for the management of customs formalities.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the agreement signed with ALACAT, the digitization of logistics management will reach a global approach with Latin America as a spearhead, with the possibility of reducing paper in procedures by up to 80 percent. \u00abWe have valued this impact in volume of documentation generated when shipping goods and for every 10 tons of paper we are saving 4,000 tons of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere,\u00bb<\/em> says Cristina Mart\u00edn, CEO of Usyncro. <\/em> <\/strong><\/p>\n

On the other hand, \u00abopening the Digital Corridor in a generalized way, in countries as relevant in the traffic of goods as Mexico, will also serve to speed up exports and imports, having a greater control over the operation and alerting quickly in case of possible incidents. This is key in a context of great uncertainty since the pandemic.<\/em>\u00abMartin concludes.<\/p>\n
